These guys had a great trip on the Dan, made possible by having the Moore's Springs Campground open.  Chris and his pals put their boats in at the Hart's Access and spent a day paddling down to MSC where they spent the night, fully supported from their boats.  The next day they packed up and continued on to the Dan River Co. to their waiting car.  A great two day trip on the Dan.

Progress so far...

Just like this young man, on one of the many campground boulders, we're making progress here at MSC.

We've been open two weeks and have had many visitors.  Our first group found us via the Dan River Company (Thanks Dave) and never passed through the gates.  This group from Raleigh paddled down the Dan River from the 704 access to  Cascade Creek where they spent the night before traveling on to the DRC in the morning.

We had a group in this weekend that had not been to the campground in years, so they did not even know the place had been closed down.  They had a great time and shared many great stories of 15 years visiting here.

We're still hard at work cleaning and fixing the place up.

We're opening this weekend ~ Oct. 28th

The weather and the fall foliage are so beautiful here at Moore's Springs that we're opening the campground a week earlier than planned.  We have a limited number of sites available, so let us know now if you'd like to come stay with us.

We're just a few weeks away from kicking things off here at MSC.  While we still have a LONG WAY TO GO, we're ready to open the gate, early in November.
